Meet the Doctor

Dr. Fahad Afzal gained appreciation for vision at a very young age. Like many children, his vision needs were undiagnosed for sometime. Teachers did not understand the reason for his poor school performance. This all changed after his first pair of glasses allowed him to see what the rest of the kids were able to see. He was then able to excel in school and pursue his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta. He then went on to obtain his Doctorate in Optometry from the Rosenberg School of Optometry.

During his studies he volunteered for many student groups, and was elected as president of the Students Union. He also obtained many awards and recognition for leadership, academic, and clinical excellence. Dr. Afzal now practices Optometry with passion in Spruce Grove, and in and around the greater Edmonton area. When not working to help people see their best, Dr. Afzal enjoys spending time with his family, and playing hockey (he is an Oilers fan after all).
